Proudly serving 58 communities across southern Alaska, this medical system includes clinics, a regional hospital, psychiatric services, dentistry, and substance abuse counseling, among other programs. The group is affiliated with the federal Indian Health Services division, which is dedicated to providing the best quality medical care to Native Indians and Alaskan Natives. Facility Location

Bethel is located west of Anchorage, Alaska and can only be accessed by water or air. It has a subarctic climate with long snowy cold winters and mild, short summers and is the main port and transportation hub for 56 villages in that area of Alaska. Annual events in Bethel include a Dogsled Race, a Fair in August and a Traditional Dance Festival in the Spring.
