• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM on 3S CV Telemetry unit
• Schedule options : 3x12 or 4x12 nights with 36 or 48 hours guaranteed
• Work weekdays with every other weekend required
• Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility needs
• Care for pre / post operative surgical cardiovascular patients and medical cardiac patients requiring progressive care / monitoring
• Treat vascular patients, amputations, and detox patients
• Maintain patient ratio of 1 : 4 with stretch ratio of 1 : 5, may also cover LPNs
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications : BLS; ACLS and MAB preferred
• Must be competent in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and PCU / IMC care
• Perform special procedures including ostomies, chest tubes, wound vacs / care, CPAP / BiPAP, central lines, PICCs, and cardiac drips (Heparin, Amnio, Cardizem)
• Use Cerner charting system
• Wear royal blue / white scrubs
• WV or Compact RN license required (pending license acceptable)
• Must live greater than 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered case-by-case)
• Flu shot required during October 1st - March 31st season (medical exemptions only)
• Orientation held every other Thursday Facility : This major teaching hospital is a short-term acute care facility and Level IV Trauma Center with 838 staffed beds. As a member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems, the facility provides comprehensive medical services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The cardiovascular telemetry unit has 28 beds with a daily census of 28 patients and offers free parking for travelers.
