Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) 3

Overview

BTS Software Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer 3 (ISSE-3) to execute the Information Assurance mission. This opportunity is for a future award expected in October 2025.

Responsibilities

• Perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability and non-compliance with established Cybersecurity standards and regulations; recommend mitigation strategies.
• Validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis; establish system security designs.
• Design, develop, implement and / or integrate Cybersecurity systems and system components for networking, computing, and enclave environments, including multiple enclaves with differing data protection / classification requirements.
• Build Cybersecurity into systems deployed to operational environments; assist architects and developers in implementing information security functionality to ensure policy compliance and enterprise solutions.
• Support the building of security architectures; enforce trusted relations among external systems and architectures.
• Assess and mitigate system security threats / risks throughout the system development life cycle.
• Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations.
• Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation; provide feedback on completeness and compliance.
• Support security authorization activities in compliance with NSA / CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP), the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), the NIST RMF process, and prescribed NSA / CSS business processes for security engineering.

Pay

$135,000-$155,000 per year. The BTS pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation. Offers consider role responsibilities, candidate education, experience, and competencies.
