We are partnered with an extremely well-known general contractor specializing in TxDOT projects across the Houston area. They are seeking a driven Project Manager to join their team and contribute to the continued growth and success of their organization.
Position Overview :
As a Project Manager specializing in TxDOT construction, you will play a vital role in managing the planning, execution, and delivery heavy civil projects, including new construction and repairs. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with at least 4 years of project management experience and a minimum of 10 years of total experience in construction to take on new challenges and advance their career in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead meetings with owners and clients to ensure project communication and delivery
- Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule and budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions to optimize project efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all project stakeholders.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and senior management, to keep them informed of project progress and address any issues or concerns.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance processes to uphold the highest standards of construction craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
- Assist in maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.4+ years of experience in project management role for TxDOT projectsAt least 10 years of overall experience in heavy civil construction.Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
