Job Title : Retail Sales Clerk

Seeking part-time employment in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on customer interaction? The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services has part-time openings for Retail Sales Clerks at state liquor stores. Apply in person at your preferred State Liquor Store. As a part-time Retail Sales Clerk, you will :

Use your customer service skills to assist the public.
Ensure that all sales are made only to customers 21 and over.
Perform cashiering duties.
Mark and display product for sale.
Contribute to the department's service-focused mission by providing superior customer service.

Minimum requirements :

21 years of age or older.

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Able to work a flexible schedule.

Able to provide excellent customer service.

Able to pass a criminal background check.

DABS stores are closed on Sundays and all state and federal holidays.

Responsibilities :

Assist in receiving and storing merchandise.

Processes transactions at a cash register, gives correct change and closes till at end of shift.

Assists customers in finding products, making selections and purchasing items.

Screens for intoxication, checks identification, and watches for shoplifters.

Conducts regular and / or spot check inventories of merchandise, supplies, or equipment.

Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and / or supplies.

Receives and fills liquor orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required.

Maintains building(s) and / or facilities in a clean and orderly condition and / or removes snow from sidewalks and doorways, etc.

Apply in person at the State Liquor Store of your choice.

Salary is dependent upon location.

Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and / or for long periods of time.
