Job Summary :

Utilizes financial planning software to prepare and analyze complex financial reports and statements. Recommends changes to assist with company financial goal achievement. Works to improve current financial reporting and analysis procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Prepares and analyzes complex financial reports including rate of return (ROI), net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR). Provides recommendations on policy, procedure, control or action to appropriate leaders as needed.
  • Analyzes financial statements, financial statistics and trends to determine present and future financial performance. Provides recommendations for improvements accordingly.
  • Conducts research and performs analysis related to financial and expense performance, rate of return (ROI), depreciation, working capital, investments, peer performance and impact of government regulations.
  • Works with business leaders to coordinate, prepare and review annual budgets, forecasts and current operating plans.
  • Performs tasks utilizing financial planning software and ensures accuracy and integrity of stored financial data.
  • Works to refine and improve current financial reporting and analysis procedures.
  • Contributes to various financing activities as needed including lender compliance and reporting requirements, lease vs. purchase analysis and lease evaluation.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Advanced mathematical skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of software systems used for the purpose of planning, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
  • Education, Experience and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree and three or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education required.
  • Master's Degree in related field preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.

  • Continuously required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
  • Continuously required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, squat, stoop or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to stand or walk.
  • Attendance at work is required.
