IT Senior Analyst, Firewall Operations (Hybrid)

Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. The IT Senior Analyst, Firewall Operations is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of Eversource’s network firewalls. This role works closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure firewall performance, security, and compliance. The position is ideal for a technically skilled professional with a strong foundation in firewall technologies and a desire to grow into a leadership role.

Essential Functions :

• Monitor and maintain firewall systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Assist in implementing firewall changes and configurations in accordance with established policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related connectivity issues in collaboration with IT teams and end users.
• Support the review and documentation of firewall rules and policies.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for firewall-related events.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats and technologies in the firewall and network security space.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical designs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Review and validate security related Change Control requests.
• Provide off-hours support for operational issues as needed.

$117,470.00-$130,520.00
