Supervisory General Supply Specialist
Plans direct and supervise the Installation's interface with local and off-base customers. Supervises overall Customer Service operation and utilizes Inventory Supply Discrepancy Reporting (ISDR) reports, Inventory Adjustment Voucher reports and Denial reports to isolate the processes and user ID's associated with customer complaints. Collaborates suspect process areas with Division Point of Contacts (POCs). Interprets and implements new directives for regional distribution Installation resulting from additions to or changes in, national or agency policies and programs, or identification of deficiencies in established Installation supply programs.

To qualify for a Supervisory General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support : A Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off / closing date of the announcement.
Creditable specialized experience includes : Analyzes existing methods and processes to identify areas that can be improved. Evaluates the efficiency of programs involving customer service, in a wide variety of supply and acquisition processes and procedures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The work is usually sedentary and accomplished while seated at desk or table; however, as requested, the incumbent may physically walk through the depot warehouses to conduct physical searches. Occasional situations may require climbing ladders, stooping, bending and lifting up to 25 pounds. If moving or lifting over 25 pounds, will request assistance and / or utilize lifting devices. Work is usually performed in an office setting; however, extensive research could require visits to warehouse, secured areas, or outdoor locations. Work may be performed in hazardous areas where chemicals, poisons and low radioactive material (such as luminous dials and gauges) are stored; also in refrigerated areas with 42-45 degree temperatures and small freezers where normal temperature is 4 degrees below 0. SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS : Employee is required to wear safety clothing and equipment appropriate for the job and the work areas where assigned, as directed by the supervisor.
