California Licensed Medical Record Technician

A company is looking for a Medical Record Technician (Coder Outpatient and Inpatient).

Key Responsibilities

Monitor regulatory and policy requirements affecting coded information and ensure timely compliance

Assist facility staff with documentation requirements and provide technical support on coding and regulations

Ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical information and provide education on documentation issues to clinical staff

Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and proficiency in English

At least one year of experience in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical coding, or relevant education

Completion of an AHIMA approved coding program or equivalent training

Mastery Level Certification through AHIMA or AAPC is required

Ability to analyze health records and perform outpatient and inpatient coding accurately
