Food Manufacturing Sanitation Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and processing machines daily or as scheduled, by assigning cleaning tasks to sanitation technicians and custodians. This position supervises the development, implementation, and maintenance of continually improving of the sanitation, food safety, pest control programs, and employee safety program. Including revising the master sanitation schedule, work instructions, training documentation and compliance audits; as well as observing and enforcing the safety rules and company policies; and providing support to the sanitation employees. All activities of SOPs will be built to meet the requirements of company standards, regulatory codes, and best practices as set forth by Safety Quality Food institute (SQF), Food Safety Program and customer requirements
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following) :
- Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations .
- Perform all FDA monitored Sanitation Duties according to our Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Responsible for maintaining a supply of cleaning chemicals necessary for the operation of the cleaning program and in compliance with the FIFRA, OSHA and FDA regulations.
- Manages operations to maintain the highest rating possible on all annual audits and inspections.
- Develops and maintains training and development programs that support key performance goals for the Company, as well as provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees.
- Maintains good manufacturing practices related to cleanliness, food safety and pest control program within the facilities, to ensure the safety of the products and materials.
- Manages operation to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulations, as well as Company Safety Policies, procedures and standards.
- In charge of scheduling the daily cleaning of the plant.
- Weekly assignments of general cleaning.
- Down day cleaning assignations.
- Fulfill Quality Assurance, SQF, and Food Safety requests.
- Aids in the administration of biological monitoring procedures to determine the efficacy of sanitation methods.
- Monitors employee practices to aid a pest-free environment.
- Responsible for verification of sanitation documentation, training and development of the sanitation team and process improvement of systems and procedures.
- Fill any position in the absence of a technician or custodian.
- Enforce all safety procedures.
