About The Role
Senior Account Executive, 451 Research US Sales within 451 Research, a division of S&P Global, leading independent technology industry analyst company.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with product, regional, and individual quota objectives.
- Drive new customer acquisition and expand sales within existing accounts through cross‑selling initiatives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to negotiate contract terms and pricing effectively.
- Maintain a strategic focus on sales activities and manage the sales pipeline diligently.
- Participate in management and monthly revenue meetings to assess new business progress.
- Acquire industry‑specific knowledge to conduct credible diagnostic conversations with prospects.
- Work closely with business development, product specialists, and relationship managers to uncover new opportunities and use cases within the designated territory.
- Establish appointments with senior‑level executives at target organizations.
- Stay informed about industry news and issues to identify potential impacts on current prospects and uncover new opportunities.
- Oversee the complete sales process from initial prospecting to contract signing.
- Utilize systems‑based workflows, such as Salesforce.com, to maintain a disciplined approach to daily sales activities and pipeline management.
Compensation and Benefits (US Applicants Only)
S&P Global anticipates a base salary range of $90,000-$125,000 for this position. The final base salary will depend on geographic location, experience, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
What We’re Looking for
Basic Required Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years of successful quota‑carrying experience.A commercial mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively.Strong business acumen with relevant industry experience and a proven track record in consultative sales.Ability to collaborate effectively across functional and geographic boundaries.Experience selling complex data and / or technology solutions to financial professionals.Confidence in navigating new markets, managing territories, and engaging with C‑Level executives.Proficient communication skills (fluent in English and another European language), along with strong organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in selling to the data center and energy sectors.Demonstrated ability to approach diverse customer segments and operate across regions.Capacity to articulate the company's vision and strategic objectives clearly.A balanced sales mindset with the discipline to align short‑term new business goals with long‑term divisional objectives.Analytical skills in sales planning and reporting.Right to Work Requirements
