Production Administrator
Position Summary : The Production Administrator is responsible for the administrative duties in relation to production practices. This role is expected to participate in the day-to-day job scheduling process and collaborate cross functionally with the necessary teams, including Planning and Quality Control. The person will also be expected to ensure compliance with quality control practices and participate in lean initiative projects in tandem with the production leads and supervisors.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for scheduling production orders and assigning work within the department for each shift.
- Responsible for coordinating weekly overtime with team members and updates supervisor for accurate timekeeping.
- Verifies accuracy of production batch cards across all departments for Quality Control.
- Provide shipping updates to all internal teams via email.
- Facilitate weekly meetings with team members to review current demand.
- Communicate daily with Planning team to prioritize customer needs and schedule work accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Quality Team to schedule cleaning validations and allergen runs.
- Assist Leads and / or Supervisor with providing guidance, troubleshooting, decision making, and being a point of contact for production team members.
- Support Leads and / or Supervisor with additional tasks as needed.
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills Required :
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience.Must have at least 1 year of experience working in a production setting.Must have attention to detail and can perform basic mathematics.Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite basics.Ability to manually lift 50 lbs.May be required to stand for long periods of time.Must follow safety requirements, forklift policy and wear required PPE.Be able to recognize issues and report problems to leads and / or supervisor or problem solve independently when able.Must have the desire to learn and consistently participate in ongoing operations management.Skilled in planning and organizing workload for efficiency.Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.Salary range : $19.65 - $24.57. The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
