WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist for a local contract job in Waterbury, Connecticut.

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Surgical Technologist a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Waterbury, CT.

Job Function : \n

  • Day Shift.

    • \n

  • 5x8.

    • \n

  • Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.

    • \n

  • Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.

    • \n

  • Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.

    • \n

  • Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.

    • \n

  • Initiates corrective action whenever the patient.

    • \n \n

    Job Requirements : \n

  • Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.

    • \n

  • Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

    • \n

  • BLS preferred (American Heart Association).

    • \n

  • Minimum of 2  years experience required, 5 years preferred as a certified Surgical Tech working in an OR setting is required.   \n
