CNA - FT / PT- 1st & 2nd Shift

CNA Position

In compliance with regulation and company policy, CNA provides hands-on care, in alignment with the resident's care plan, in a safe homelike environment. The CNA is responsible for the direct, quality care for each resident.

Facilitate Enriching Community Environment :

• Provides services to residents as directed by the care plan and / or Director of Health & Wellness
• Reviews and provides input into the resident care plan
• Reports on the condition of residents to the Wellness team as well as documents in EHR
• Responds to security system quickly and appropriately and answers call bells immediately, taking appropriate action and resetting call bell
• Assists with toileting and disposes of incontinence products properly to ensure sanitation
• Fosters resident rights in each resident interaction
• Assists residents with ADLs as identified in care plans
• Implements OSHA standards and safety standards in assisting residents and completing daily work
• Reports accidents immediately and follows a process for documentation and treatment
• Understands and practices the proper method of care, disposal, and exposure risk to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious materials, sharp sticks, and hazardous materials
• Implements universal precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
• Attends regular department / community meetings, cross over meetings and care plan meetings
• Maintains strict confidentiality of client information in compliance with HIPAA requirements
• Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards
• Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members
• Organize and complete work in a timely manner
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English
• Ability to understand medical / surgical terminology

• Active participation in learning each resident's preferences to recognize the change in condition

• Ensures confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA, state / federal regulations as well as company policy
• Wash resident laundry as required
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks
