Patient Transporter - Per Diem

Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.

JOB SUMMARY :

Performs non-nursing skills such as transport of patients, equipment / supplies and other tasks as deemed necessary under the direction of the Director of Education and Training.

Provides a safe, quiet, comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

Demonstrates accountability for job responsibility and job functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Licensure / Registration / Certification : None

Work Experience : No minimum prior experience required

Physical & Other Factors :

On feet most of the day. Physical exertion during transporting patients and equipment.

Work & Environmental Conditions : Exposed to patient’s conditions and some unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases.

Job Relationships (Responsible to / for, works with) :

Responsible to the Director of Education. Works effectively with members of the health care team, administrative personnel and maintains a cooperative working relationship intradepartmental and interdepartmentally.
