Pediatric Neurologist : Epilepsy | Coastal Charleston, SC

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric Neurologist / Epileptologist to join the Division of Pediatric Neurology in coastal Charleston, South Carolina.

The Division of Pediatric Neurology accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy with a Pediatric Level IV Epilepsy Center . The team aims to maintain partnerships with referring doctors, so each child receives optimal long-term care. The division offers specialty services such as speech language pathology and neuropsychology, as well as diagnostic services, including inpatient and outpatient video EEG monitoring. Offering medical and surgical treatment options along with medical nutrition therapy (ketogenic diet).

MUSC Childrens Hospital has consistently been the only institution in South Carolina to be ranked among U.S. News & World Reports edition of Americas Best Childrens Hospitals. MUSC is the only quaternary academic medical center in the state of South Carolina and is expanding rapidly. Many new opportunities are developing with the opening of the new MUSC Childrens Pediatric Subspecialty R. Keith Summey Medical Pavilion, which offers comprehensive outpatient pediatric only services including specialty clinics, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, infusion procedures, and support services such as lab and pharmacy. The new Shawn Jenkins Childrens Hospital that opened in February 2020, offers state of the art tertiary and quaternary services.

Ideal Candidates :

• Board Certified or Eligible by the ABPN
• Interest / experience in neuromuscular and / or neuroimmunology disorders is welcomed
• Commitment to MUSCs educational missions
