POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing therapy services to patients varying in age and mental health diagnosis. The clinical therapist should have appropriate writing / documentation skills and ability to work well with treatment team members. The clinical therapist maintains confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards.

    • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Education

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited program

    • Minimum Experience

  • 1-2 years formal work experience
  • Relevant clinical experience through employment and / or practicum and internship will be considered

    • Required Registration / License / Certification

  • BLS within 90 days of DOH / Transfer
  • CPI within 12 months of DOH / Transfer
  • Preferred Education
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited program

    • Preferred Experience

  • 2-3 years formal experience, that includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, and also with individuals with serious mental illness.
  • Experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

    • Preferred Registration / License / Certification

  • Licensed or licensed-eligible as a Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker in Alabama
