Position Summary

Seeking a CAD Engineer to develop and design engineering documentation, including drawings, 3D models, and CAD modules / assemblies. This position requires experience in 3DExperience (CATIA V6) to create 3D designs and 2D drawings of electrical components from initial concept through mass production.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct design feasibility and cost analysis, strength calculations, material selection, part construction, part specification
• Schedule and coordinate activities involved in prototyping, fabricating, and manufacturing of assigned products and systems
• Analyze components / parts in area of specialty to endure established layout / quality / cost / performance standards and regulatory requirements are met
• Apply mechanical knowledge to optimize designs for manufacturing processes
• Develop and design engineering documentation such as drawings and 3D models
• Mature the product in the CAD system
• Redesign existing models as needed
• Create assemblies of CAD models and resolve packaging conflicts
• Secure quality and readiness of designs before release
• Produce technical drawings sufficient to define a product
