Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 01 / 05 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details : Work three 12-hour shifts per week with varied start times (may start as early as 5 : 00 AM) Position will primarily cover pre-operative area - MUST HAVE PRE-OP EXPERIENCE Patient ratio of 2 : 1 during days and weekends Care for patients of all age groups : adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics 2 years of experience in service line required Travel experience preferred Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must have charting system experience (Altera experience preferred but not required) Flu vaccine required with medical / religious exemptions only Must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer Texas nursing license in hand required with submittal Must pass mandatory drug screen upon arrival (includes marijuana testing) Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation Hard document due date : Thursday 2pm CST prior to start No first-time travelers accepted Local candidates within 150-mile radius not accepted Previous permanent staff must be gone 1 year to return as traveler Facility : This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced surgical and procedural services with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
