Job Description
Position Purpose
The Training & Development Manager will design, create, and implement a comprehensive construction training and development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Training and development needs shall be identified through surveys, performance reviews, and interviews.
Responsibilities
Develop training materials and programs for various roles, including technical skills, and leadership development.Facilitate on-boarding training for new projects and new personnel as required to meet training program goals.Oversee the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and seminars.Ensure all training programs meet industry regulations and safety standards.Stay updated on legal requirements and best practices in construction training.Lead and manage existing leadership teams to roll out and assist with training.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization.Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics.Continuously refine training initiatives based on feedback and changing industry needs.Work closely with project managers, HR, and other departments to ensure training is relevant and effectively addresses operational needs.Collaborate with external training providers and industry experts as needed.Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.Monitor training expenses and provide regular reports on training initiatives.Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required5+ Years in training construction teams and / or as a construction professional (project manager and above)Construction experience, requiredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Must be proficient in : Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and CAD / Visio, REVITKnowledge in Procore is required.Individual must be driven, hardworking and dedicated, requiredExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, requiredAn energetic self-starter with a "can do / whatever it takes" attitude who can perform under pressure, work successfully on tight deadlines and identify and resolve problems as they arise, requiredOpen to frequent travelAdditional Information
