Responsibilities
- Develop new and novel data architectures and pipelines and lead technical discussions to align stakeholders on the technical approach using Databricks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to accomplish data integrations, approvals, validation, and deployment.
- Design, implement, and maintain Insulet's data lake, warehouse, and overall architecture.
- Work with IT, analytics, and cross-functional teams to identify data sources, determine data collection methods, and design aggregation mechanisms.
- Perform data quality checks and data cleanup.
- Interface with business stakeholders in manufacturing, quality assurance, and post-market surveillance to understand various applications and their data sets.
- Develop data preprocessing tools as needed.
- Maintain and understand the various business intelligence tools used to visualize and report team analytics results to the company.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a closely related STEM field is required.Master's degree in the same fields, or a BS with experience working with data technologies, is preferred.Experience in data quality assurance, control, and lineage for large datasets in relational / non-relational databases.Experience managing robust ETL / ELT pipelines for large, messy datasets with schema changes or incorrect data types.Experience with batch and streaming data processing.Experience with Business Intelligence tools linked to external data warehouses or databases is required.Experience in medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing industries is desirable.HIPAA experience is a plus.Skills and Competencies
Leadership in enterprise data literacy and architecture.Knowledge of SQL / relational and NoSQL databases.Managing large data sets in cloud environments (Azure / AWS, Databricks).Knowledge of ETL and workflow tools (Databricks workflows, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue).Building and scaling cloud data architectures leveraging Spark.Proficiency in Python, Java, C, or scripting languages.Familiarity with different data formats (CSV, XML, JSON).Best practices in database and dataset validation.Effective communication and documentation skills.Additional Information
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,600 - $135,900, determined by role, level, and location. Compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, excluding bonuses, equity, or benefits.
