Trades Apprentice

Under the direction of the Trades Generalist, the duties will but are not limited to :

• Perform apprentice-level work in a primary trade in one of the following areas : plumbing, carpentry, or masonry and plaster.
• Assist the Trades Generalist with specific and targeted housing, cabin / cottage, and buildings rehab projects at Taconic State Park.
• Use hand tools, portable power tools, shop equipment, and measuring and testing instruments appropriate to the assigned trade.
• Assist with the coordination and execution of projects; carpentry repairs, including to but not limited to roofing, siding and foundation repairs; plumbing and masonry repairs; and clean up.
• Complete additional duties as needed.

There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
