Clerical Support Position
Provides clerical support to the Office Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Observes all safety procedures, rules and regulations, and instruction in performance of job duties.
- Assists the Office Manager with various clerical functions.
- Maintains and updates filing system for the department and retrieves information from files when needed.
- Sorts and distributes mail.
- Greets customers and vendors and answers phones, takes messages or answers routine questions.
- Mails invoices to customers.
- Enters data into the ERP system.
- Prepares customer billing as requested.
- Contacts vendors for order acknowledgements and freight charges for incoming purchase orders.
- Files purchase orders, sales orders, and checks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Must have working knowledge along with the skills and abilities required to perform various clerical or administrative functions in an office setting.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Level of Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalency required.One year of administrative or office experience is desired.Physical Demands :
