Assistant Team Manager - Northeast New Jersey - Connecticut - Maine - Maryland - Pennsylvania - New York - Virginia (Region is subject to change based on company needs, growth, and expansion)
Responsibilities :
Field-based position reporting to an assigned manager. Must have understanding of all Company policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook for School Crossing Guards and the Instruction Manual for Area Supervisors. Coordinates the schedules and duties of their assigned leadership team as they work to meet the operational needs of all departments under their supervision. Communicates operational expectations to direct reports and ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures is being maintained. Responsible for upward communication of status on field operations and related needs. Responsible for the accurate management and reporting of operational details including, but not limited to, school information, site locations and shift times. Identifies, trains and provides professional development for the leadership personnel within their assigned geographic area. Responsible for working with direct reports to maximize recruiting, hiring and training needs for each department to ensure staffing needs are met. Responsible for ensuring direct reports maintain Company policies and procedures and demonstrate compliance with safety procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, personal field observations to ensure the accurate completion of Site Performance Evaluations by Area Supervisors and Lead Supervisors in their assigned departments. Responsible for communicating and monitoring budgeted hours for all direct reports. Acts as liaison with clients and / or school officials for coordination of School Crossing Guard program(s).
Requirements :
Employees are responsible for monitoring their own work hours to meet all legal requirements for rest breaks and meal periods. Any instance of being unable to meet these legal requirements must be reported to the manager immediately. If you are unaware of the legal requirements for rest breaks and meal periods, you are required to contact Human Resources (800.540.9290). Must demonstrate leadership and organizational skills sufficient to manage assigned personnel and geographic area. Must be self-motivated and dependable with good oral and written communication skills. Must provide copies of active automobile insurance. Must be able to store, lift and transport various items of equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds. Must provide inventory control and storage of field equipment and administrative supplies. Must submit to and successfully complete fingerprinting and / or drug / alcohol screening prior to and / or during employment. Must maintain a record free of serious offenses. 5 years of management experience required.
Compensation :
$52,000 $74,880, determined by experience, number of employees supervised and area of assignment. Full-time, exempt; this position may experience periods of non-work based on operational needs and geographic considerations (e.g. extended periods of no school days or summer break). When using a personal automobile for business purposes, automobile mileage reimbursement will be provided based on the accurate use of the Company-provided mileage tracking process.
