A Typical Day :

As a Tax Specialist at H&R Block, you'll inspire clients to make informed decisions about their finances while building lasting relationships that deepen each year.

By joining our team as a Skilled Tax Specialist , you'll assist clients with varied tax needs while supported by a dedicated team. We provide advanced tax training to ensure your success.

What You'll Bring to the Team :

• Conduct tax interviews with clients in person or through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare accurate and complete tax returns.
• Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and promote additional products and services.
• Offer clients support with IRS inquiries.
• Provide tax notice services for all certification levels.
• Represent clients during audits if certified under Circular 230.
• Mentor and support fellow teammates.
• Successfully pass the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Demonstrated experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax-related roles.
• Proven ability to complete individual tax returns.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficiency in using virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Strong communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
• Compliance with IRS and state requirements.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
