Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Certified Rover. The Certified Rover will perform a wide variety of tasks working independently or as a member of a group, to maintain college buildings and facilities free of hazards and presenting a clean, neat appearance. This position works Monday through Friday, 6 : 00am – 3 : 00pm, with a one hour unpaid lunch and the hourly rate of pay is $21.61.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Move and transport materials, equipment, tools, and furniture in a safe and careful manner.
• Operate various hand and / or power tools.
• Assemble new furniture and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
• Perform all types of custodial work.
• Operate refuse truck, including removing refuse from buildings.
• Operate recycling truck, including collections and processing of recyclable materials.
• Perform tasks generally assigned to “Rovers” as deemed appropriate by the manager.
• Responsible for various types of set-ups for special events.
• Act as a group leader when so designated by manager.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.
