COMPENSATION & BENEFITS : The starting hourly wage is $16.00 per hour and will increase after 6 months of successful probation.

WORK LOCATION : In and around the City of Kimberling City, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite. Main office is the Public Works Building located on Fire station Road, Kimberling City.

Maintenance Worker I Public Works Department
General Purpose of Position
Completes maintenance of public facilities and works on capital projects as assigned
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains streets
Maintains and installs sewer system
Uses basic equipment to complete various departmental activities
Maintains equipment and general vehicle maintenance
Prepares work areas for installations and repairs
Maintains City buildings and facilities
Performs other duties related to departmental activities
Performs similar duties for other City departments
Performs other duties as directed
Education and Experience
The person in this position must be able to read and write in English; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in public works fields is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Licenses and Certifications
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and random drug and alcohol testing.
