Position Summary
Bond Technologies is seeking a versatile Technical Writer who can bridge the gap between engineering expertise and clear, engaging communication. In this role, you’ll develop and maintain technical manuals, training materials, and internal documents while also contributing to customer-facing content that support Bond’s marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and skilled at translating complex mechanical concepts into accurate, accessible documents. You should be eager to learn about Bond’s machines and Friction Stir Welding technologies, interview engineers and team members, and craft messaging that educates, informs, and resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Essential Job Functions
- Create comprehensive technical product documentation
- Organize multiple tasks and deadlines with effective time-management
- Interpret technical content to create machine manuals, operation instructions, and installation documents
- Create assembly instructions
- Design customer training course content
- Support customer-specific training content and operation manuals as needed
- Support Sales team presentation efforts
- Create content for BOND website, LinkedIn, and other social media efforts
- Maintain and improve BOND style guides
- Work with BOND’s quality management team as necessary
Education
Degree in a relevant field. This includes, but is not limited to, degrees in the following fields : writing, English, communications, or engineering.
Experience
Minimum 1-5 years of experience in technical writing; experience with machine manual development is desired.
