General Liability Attorney - SR / JR Partner / Attorney

Seeking a general liability associate attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience with an emphasis on general liability.   The candidate will work directly with and learn from a highly experienced and fun group of attorneys and staff members. Will file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.

Extensive legal research and drafting of substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs. Regularly representing clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions. Drafting and responding to discovery requests. Expert witness retention and collaboration. Trial preparation and attendance. Must be familiar with handling civil cases from beginning to end. Experience taking and defending depositions to include 30(b)(6) and experts, drafting and arguing substantive motions, and attending hearings and trials is required. Experience participating in negotiations and mediation is needed. Must be Admitted to practice in the state of NY; other states are a plus.

The candidate must be a team player willing to assist other team members when necessary. Should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school. Should have exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills. Must have superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Should have solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills. A strong work ethic and ability to self-manage and work in a team environment are required.  Excellent client skills and telephone manner is needed.
