SUMMARY : Operates, maintains, and repairs irrigation systems in parks and athletic fields. Oversees all aspects of water usage in County parks, including bathrooms.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The job description is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Performs maintenance and repair work on irrigation systems including plumbing and electrical components.
• Irrigates assigned fields and areas; schedules irrigation programs; manages water usage in parks and athletic fields in accordance with Department water conservation objectives.
• Completes irrigation start up and blow out procedures in parks and restroom facilities.
• Assists with park landscape maintenance as needed.
• Performs winter maintenance to include ice rinks and snow removal.
• Provides regular maintenance and minor repairs to tools and equipment.
• Supports the relationship between the Teton County staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and County staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
