CAD Technician

Drafting Technician (Direct Hire)
Pay: $26–$28/hr
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hrs/week (6: 00 AM–2: 30 PM or 7: 00 AM–3: 30 PM)
Overtime: Occasional OT depending on workload (typically 40–50 hrs/week during busy periods)
Overview

We are seeking a Drafting Technician with strong AutoCAD experience to support electrical, mechanical, and industrial design projects. This is a direct hire, full-time career opportunity offering stability, steady work, and room to grow into design or engineering support roles.
Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints using AutoCAD
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to complete accurate drawings
• Maintain organized drawing documentation and revision tracking
• Perform field measurements and verify existing site conditions as needed
• Prepare and update as-built drawings
• Support drafting and project documentation needs across multiple disciplines

Requirements

• 1+ year of drafting or AutoCAD experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Comfortable in office, shop, and industrial field environments
• Ability to climb ladders, use industrial stairs, and walk on uneven terrain
• High school diploma required;technical drafting education preferred
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Tools & PPE

• Basic drafting tools
• PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots) provided as needed

Additional Information

• Occasional local travel;rare overnight travel
• Company vehicles used from shop to field only
