Associate Attorney - Tort & Insurance Defense

Our client, a prestigious full-service law firm with over 150 years of trusted legal service, is seeking a Tort and Insurance Defense Attorney at the Associate level. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in tort and insurance defense litigation. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity located in the firm's Bergen County, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities :

Represent clients in tort and insurance defense litigation matters.

Manage cases from inception through resolution with significant autonomy.

Engage in court appearances, depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trials.

Handle direct client communications and develop strong client relationships.

Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and legal professionals.

Qualifications :

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Active New Jersey Bar admission is required.

5+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on tort and insurance defense.

Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to assume responsibility and handle a caseload independently.

Demonstrated professional judgment, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills for both client interaction and courtroom advocacy.

Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.

Compensation & Benefits :

Base Salary : $140,000–$160,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
