Nephrology Physician

The Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care System in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a part-time, BC / BE, Nephrologist to serve as a member of its Nephrology Team. Situated along the bank of the Mississippi River in Southern Louisiana, New Orleans, also widely known as NOLA , was dubbed The Big Easy , for its unparalleled nightlife, diverse music scene and unyielding city spirit. Highlights of this position include :

• Competitive Starting Salary $250,000 $275,000 (Compensation based on FTE status)
• Work Schedule : To be determined and include designated rotations or consult service nights and weekends.
• Provides ambulatory patient care via face to face visits and telemedicine
• Shares inpatient consult service coverage
• Shares call responsibilities with the other nephrologists to cover nights, weekends, and holidays
• Completes electronic consultations
• Addresses any patient issues or concerns, including electronic messages, medication refills, CPRS alerts, and lab reporting in a timely manner
• Conducts Peer reviews, as needed
• Provides guidance and support to the Advanced Practice Provider (APP), as needed
• Covers Chief duties, as needed
