About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Application Engineer to join our dynamic team at Systel. The Field Application Engineer (FAE) serves as a key technical liaison with reviewing customer requirements and providing technical input in support of RFI / RFQ responses. his role involves providing pre- and post-sales technical support, developing application solutions, and ensuring successful integration of manufacturing products or systems into customer operations. The FAE works closely with customers, design engineers, and production teams to deliver optimized solutions and drive customer satisfaction.

This position is part of the Sales Department at Systel and reports to the VP of Sales. This position is 100% in-person at our headquarters in Sugar Land, TX. Subject to Systel needs, meeting initial training requirements, and maintaining productivity expectations, the employee may be eligible to work from home one day per week.

You are a customer-facing engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology and business. You enjoy translating complex requirements into clear solutions, balancing technical feasibility with customer mission needs. You are confident in front of customers, whether explaining detailed specifications to engineers or delivering polished presentations to executives. You collaborate naturally across Sales, Product, and Engineering, and you don't shy away from rolling up your sleeves to dive into technical requirements analysis, CAD models, or BOMs. You are proactive, organized, and energized by helping customers achieve mission success with rugged, reliable computing solutions.

The Work

• Pre-Sales Technical Support

Lead technical discovery with customers. Translate needs into clear problem statements and technical requirements.

Assist with creating and reviewing Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) upon customer order received.

Assist sales teams with customer conference calls or onsite visits

Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
