About the Role :
We are looking for a hands-on Process Development Engineering Technician to support our process engineers in developing, optimizing, and validating injection molding processes. This role will work directly on the manufacturing floor, setting up equipment, running molding trials, and ensuring consistent product quality. Medical device industry experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities :
Set up and operate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment for process development and validation runs.
Assist engineers in mold sampling, troubleshooting, and process optimization activities.
Monitor and record process parameters and results; maintain detailed documentation.
Support process validations (IQ / OQ / PQ) and engineering change activities.
Perform basic maintenance and setup of molds, tooling, and equipment.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure smooth process transitions.
Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Qualifications :
Associate’s degree or technical certification in plastics, manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of hands-on injection molding experience in a production or development environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with process documentation and quality systems.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries.
