Job description

Edgerton Contractors, a construction, and excavation company that specializes in earthwork, underground utilities, and design assist projects, is looking for a Staff Accountant .

The ideal candidate embodies the company culture and mission and delivers results. This position reports directly to the Controller of the company and will be located at the Oak Creek office.

Responsibilities :

Contract Billings

Work with Project Manager on invoicing clients by due dates

Accounts Receivable

Enter daily deposits into accounting system

Review A / R for outstanding invoices and work with Project Manager for payment or change orders.

Update account analysis for various accounts monthly and review for any entries erroneously made to the accounts

Complete sales tax reporting for various companies and states

Financial reporting for Condominium Association for the condominium Edgerton owns

Fixed Asset Reporting

Keep Fixed Asset software current for new / retired assets

Run depreciation reports to enter into accounting system

Assist in reviewing daily entries for Project Accountants and Accounts Payable Clerk.

Fuel Tax Reporting

Update spreadsheet using vendor information

File Wisconsin MF-001 at least semi-annually

Maintain confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards

Work with stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in accounting required

CPA preferred.

Above average organizational skills.

Experience working within the construction industry, using job costing.

Experience using Vista Viewpoint.
