Job Description
Our client is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Atlanta, GA to support their growing stormwater and water resources engineering practice. This hands-on, seller-doer role combines technical project delivery with team leadership and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead design, drafting, and preparation of construction plans, contract documents, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for stormwater projects, including open / closed drainage systems, canals, and flood control structures
- Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality analyses for stormwater collection systems
- Design site-specific BMPs to meet permitting and regulatory requirements, including conventional, low impact development, and stormwater volume control BMPs
- Prepare permit applications, supporting documentation, FEMA CLOMR / LOMR applications, drainage reports, and exhibits
- Develop 1D and 2D hydrologic / hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, ArcMap, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development
- Ensure projects meet quality, budget, and schedule goals
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)6+ years of total engineering experience, including 5+ years in hydrology & hydraulics design and analysisLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain reciprocity in Georgia within six monthsProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology / hydraulics modeling, ArcMap, and MS OfficeStrong verbal, written, presentation, organizational, and team collaboration skillsAbout the Company :
