PATIENT INFORMATION

  • Patient Demographics : Adults
  • Patient Volume / Census : 1215 patients / day (varies by patient mix)
  • Admissions : No (Outpatient only)

  • Case Mix : 80% Oncology / 20% Hematology
  • Hematology Scope : Includes benign and malignant cases

    • FACILITY INFORMATION

  • EMR System : Epic
  • Office Equipment Available : TBD
  • Specialty Backup Available : Interventional Radiology (handles most bone marrow procedures)
  • Support Staff Available : 1 MD, 1 NP, additional nursing staff
  • Reason for Coverage : Vacancy (until full-time hire)

    • PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

  • Hospital Privileges Required : Yes
  • Temporary Privileges Available : No
  • Credentialing Timeline : 120 days
  • Compliance

    • Requirements : Immunization record, flu vaccine or declination, negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year of start

  • Bone marrow procedures is a plus (most handled by IR)

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Licenses : Active NY license (required)
  • Board : Board Certified in Hematology / Oncology (required)
  • Certifications : Flu vaccine or declination, negative TB / QuantiFERON Gold test within 1 year
  • Experience : Outpatient Hematology / Oncology practice experience preferred
  • Other Qualifications : Immunization record required

    • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for adults
  • Manage patient caseload of 1215 patients / day
  • Collaborate with onsite NP, nursing staff, and physician team
  • Document encounters accurately in Epic EMR
