Job descriptionMaster's degree in Nursing or 50% completion for MSN. All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience required for clinical teaching roles. Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Texas. Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Texas or eligible to obtain a Texas RN license. Demonstrated awareness of current issues / trends in nursing and higher education.
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching and service, some variation by academic unit.
Responsibilities
- Is a non-tenure position providing didactic or clinical teaching support for the Accelerated BSN Program.
- Reports directly to the Accelerated BSN Program Director.
- Assists with didactic and clinical instruction and / or evaluation in a specified clinical area or in the simulation lab, as assigned.
- Provides feedback to faculty regarding student performance and learning achievements.
- Provides subject matter expertise on course content, as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the academic mission of the Health Sciences Center and the School of Nursing.
