Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Position Title : Geriatric Nursing Assistant Full-Time and Part-Time Shifts Available

Pay : $19 - 24 / hour (Based on experience)

Shifts Available in Comprehensive Care Unit : Full-Time Shift 11pm-7 : 30am, Every other Mon, Fri, & Weekend; Every Tues, Wed, & Thurs Full-Time Shift 3pm-11 : 30pm, Every Fri & Weekend & Every Other Mon, Thurs & Weekend Part-Time Shift 11pm-7 : 30am, Every Other Weekend Part-Time Shift 3pm-11 : 30pm, Every Other Weekend (Evening / night shift differential included)

Blakehurst is recruiting for hospitality focused Geriatric Nursing Assistants to join our team.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
  • Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
  • Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
  • Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
  • Provide activities as planned and / or directed.
  • Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

    • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
  • Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.

    • All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
