We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline. You will support various sensor and effector programs such as Patriot, LTAMDS, SPY-6, and SM-2, working across the entire product lifecycle from concept to deployment.
In this dynamic role, you’ll face new challenges daily, requiring collaboration with various teams to troubleshoot issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions. Your contributions will directly influence the performance of mission-critical defense systems, and you will be hands-on in ensuring every aspect functions seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities :
Core Systems Engineering : Develop requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
Lead Testing Efforts : Create and execute test plans and procedures, along with integration and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments.
Troubleshoot and Analyze : Identify and resolve issues in hardware, software, and systems through detailed analysis and debugging.
Drive Performance : Collaborate across disciplines to enhance performance and resolve systemic issues.
Modeling and Simulation : Create and utilize models to predict system performance and support verification activities.
Integrate Systems : Seamlessly integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality.
Collaborate and Lead : Lead cross-functional teams to ensure integration and system functionality.
Document and Communicate : Prepare integration documentation, execute plans, analyze results, and effectively relay outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
Perform Data Analysis : Conduct statistical and numerical analysis to verify system performance and meet requirements.
Present Findings : Communicate technical insights and proposed solutions to leadership and clients.
Support Missions : Travel as necessary (up to 20%) to facilitate mission success at various locations including RTX facilities, test sites, and customer sites.
Position Requirements :
A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
Experience with systems software, hardware, requirements, integration, and testing.
Capability to obtain and maintain an interim secret U.S. security clearance prior to the start date.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with digital engineering tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, or Cameo.
Familiarity with model-based engineering.
Experience developing and managing requirements effectively.
Proficiency in scripting and functions using MATLAB.
Ability to generate technical documentation, including test plans and procedures.
Background in an integration lab, test facility, or fieldwork related to integration or verification.
Experience with evaluating systems in simulated environments.
Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
