A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. CNA responsibilities include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients, ensuring patients take their medication and assessing vital signs. Certified Nursing Assistants work for hospitals, assisted living facilities, medical clinics and home aide services to assist patients with daily tasks. They help patients feel as comfortable as possible and work closely with other medical professionals, such as doctors and registered nurses, to monitor patients' conditions.Their job is to help clean their patients' living quarters by making beds and cleaning surfaces. They also assist patients by changing bandages and helping them sit up or move around.
