Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months of separation from employment.

Day Shift

Summary :

Under the direction of a Cardiologist, the Cardiac Sonographer - MCH role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and / or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education : Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience as a registered Cardiac Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
• License / Certifications : Eligible for registration in Cardiac Sonography through the ARDMS or CCI within 6 months of hire. Full registration is expected according to departmental / local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience : One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Additional Skills / Requirements Required : N / A
