A DAY IN THE LIFE :

Directly responsible for the promotion of Tandem Diabetes products and services within an assigned Territory in partnership with a Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist to plan and ensure achievement of sales goals.Identifies potential customers, establishes and develops business relationships to facilitate the sales of Tandem Diabetes' products and services, working within the limits of established policies. Uses industry sales expertise to provide account sales support and continuing education to patients, physicians and their Clinical Educators on the technical use of insulin pump therapy and special considerations related to pump therapy in the marketplace.

Please note that although candidate will be remote, the ideal candidate would be based in the West Los Angeles area and able to travel between Beverly Hills and Long Beach as needed.

Territory Managers at Tandem are also responsible for :

  • Achieving or exceeding territory sales goals established by management.
  • Identifying and qualifying sales leads using available tools and resources.
  • Professionally engaging healthcare professionals (MDs, DOs, RNs, CDEs, RPhs, etc.) to drive recommendations and prescriptions of Tandem products and services.
  • Building value and trust with healthcare professionals by differentiating Tandem's products, services, and market position.
  • Educating prospects and customers on industry trends, web-based solutions, Tandem offerings, and population health management topics.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and directly engaging consumers at health fairs, conventions, and promotions.
  • Leading strategic business planning for the territory, including forecasting and setting short- and long-term goals.
  • Accurately maintaining CRM records, submitting required sales / expense reports, and adhering to corporate policies on property, equipment, and expenditures.
  • Collaborating with Customer Sales Support Specialists to resolve pre- and post-sales issues while ensuring a consistent call cycle that maximizes customer time.
  • Actively participating in corporate sales training, meetings, conventions, and symposia as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED :

  • BS / BA or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • 3 years of related industry sales experience; preferably in one or more of the following areas : diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, and managed care.
  • Ability to travel at least 80% in your assigned territory; must maintain a valid driver's license and required auto insurance as well as good driving record, per company policy.
  • Motivation and drive to meet and even exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to relate effectively with patients, referral sources and health care professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers to resolve issues and answer questions according to company protocols and requirements.
  • Ability to assert own ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting relevant information.
  • Skilled at promoting team cooperation and commitment to team success.
  • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS : COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :

    The base pay for this position is $98,100 - $119,000 annually, with a target earning potential of $173,100 - $194,900 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes a robust benefits package.
