Senior Software Engineer - Motion Planning Collision Avoidance

Zoox is looking for a safety-critical software engineer to join our Collision Avoidance System Motion planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing cutting edge motion planning and control systems towards high standard safety ratings. This is a multidisciplinary role that will get you exposed to safety-critical system engineering, perception, prediction, and embedded computing. You will lead the effort redefining what cutting-edge AI software can do in high-mission-assurance environments.

In this role, you will :

• Build the software of collision avoidance motion planning
• Lead the technical direction of software projects, define architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Design, develop, and review complex software components, ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level software engineers.
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, analyze data to identify potential issues.

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position : salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from$230,000 to $289,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
