Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) is the international trade association promoting store brands for 40+ years. The association is looking for an IT Manager to work in the New York City headquarters located near Grand Central. The IT Manager will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security and utility of PLMA’s IT operations, association management software (SQL i.e., Synergy) and the data housed therein. He / she will partner with staff, consultants and vendors to ensure the database effectiveness and integrity and provide data analysis and reporting to staff and leadership to support informed decision-making. The Manage will insure IT services align with business objectives.
Essential responsibilities
- Work in the office five days per week
- Maintains the day-to-day operations, recommends efficiencies and implements solutions and upgrades where
needed
Anticipates issues; proactively addresses themIdentifies vulnerabilities, works on disaster planning and maintains data backupsManages and maintains integrity of SQL database (Synergy)Creates and maintains connections with IT suppliers, developers and engineersRuns SQL reports and checks dataCreates and trains users, roles, templates and reports on SynergyUnderstands the various departments’ workflows in C-vent and SynergyProactively resolves API issues throughout the year and for the annual Trade ShowCollaborate with directors, staff and software consultants on new reports, workflow, criteria, API process and updating licensesCreates new users and mailboxes on the server, resets passwords when necessary (Active Directory) and deletes users and mailboxes when no longer neededParticipates in diagnoses and resolves server, computer hardware, systems software, phone system, applications or other network and system problems and replaces defective components, as necessaryRecommends changes to improve systems and network configurations and recommends specific hardware or software requirements. Orders, prepares and installs necessary software in order for the hardware to be deployed to and used by other colleagues.Documents procedures, follow up on actions, roadblocks and decisions from meetingsProvides input for IT budgetingDuring the Chicago Trade Show, on site, provides technical support at onsite registrationStays informed on emerging technologies
Qualifications
Knowledge of hardware, computers, software and networkingFamiliarity with IT cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulationsAbility to troubleshoot problems and follow through to resolutionCustomer-centric, strong customer service orientationExcellent verbal and written communicationDocumentation of proceduresGood organization skills, time management and prioritizationEquipment Operation and Software Skills
