Supplier Quality Engineer - Senior

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and supply chain industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer - Senior to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Quality Department supporting supplier management and product development, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of component quality and supplier performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will enable you to thrive in this innovative organization.

Job Title : Supplier Quality Engineer - Senior

Location : Santa Clara, CA

Pay Range : $53 / hr

What's the Job?

Drive continuous improvement and corrective actions to enhance the quality of sourced components from external suppliers.

Provide technical support in supplier selection, development, and qualification processes.

Develop and maintain inspection procedures, acceptance criteria, and testing protocols for incoming materials.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing manufacturing yield issues and field failures through effective corrective actions.

Collaborate with Design Engineering to review new component specifications and provide input on quality and reliability considerations.

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related scientific field.

Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in supplier quality or a similar role, with a solid understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes.

Experience in assessing potential suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.

Proficiency in generating inspection procedures, test protocols, and analyzing incoming material defects.

Strong communication skills and the ability to lead project teams and guide less experienced staff effectively.
