  • Unit : Maternal Infant Unit (3rd Floor, Atrium Building)\n
  • Start Date : September 15, 2025\n
  • End Date : December 15, 2025\n
  • Duration : 13-week contract\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Weekend / On Call : Every third weekend; 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule\n
  • Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses wear pink badges for infant security\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570–$1680 per week\n

    • \n\nL&D Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or compact state\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2+ years preferred)\n
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification\n
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification\n
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification\n
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification\n
  • Experience with GE fetal monitors and EMR systems (Meditech, CPN) preferred\n

    • \n\nL&D RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and antepartum patients, as well as newborns\n
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-section procedures\n
  • Provide post-partum and newborn care in a clinical setting\n
  • Collaborate with labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, and unit leadership to ensure quality patient outcomes\n
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to infant security protocols\n
  • Accurately document patient care using electronic medical records (EMR)\n
  • Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as required\n
