The Asset Protection Manager (Ohio) oversees the day-to-day physical security operations of all cannabis retail and manufacturing facilities while collaborating closely with leadership from People Operations, Retail, Facilities, and Manufacturing, as well as with security vendors. This role is critical for ensuring the safety and compliance of both retail and production environments, with a strong focus on minimizing risk and optimizing security protocols across an assigned territory.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manages the physical security operations for cannabis manufacturing facilities and cannabis retail dispensaries.
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls, including controlling visitor access.
• Manages the transportation of cannabis and wholesale deliveries.
• Works with internal business units to develop safety plans consistent with regulatory, compliance and other requirements.
• Ensures security staff maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary and customer information, as well as other internal matters at all times.
• Regularly audits all security equipment including but not limited to Access Control, CCTV Systems and alarm systems.
• Receives off-hour calls and may need to respond to the facilities for security related emergencies.
• Training and Education : Train retail and manufacturing staff on security procedures, compliance, and loss prevention protocols.
• Incident Management : Investigate incidents of theft, loss, and other security breaches; document findings and work with law enforcement when necessary.
• Reporting and Analysis : Provide regular reports on security incidents, loss metrics, and compliance status to senior management, recommending improvements based on data.
• Vendor Management : Manage relationships with security vendors, including alarm and surveillance companies, and ensure service meets operational needs.
