This position is part of a 24x7x365 operations team responsible for providing frontline technical support for computer systems and applications. The role serves as the primary communications channel between customers, support teams, and management, ensuring timely diagnostics, issue resolution, and operational continuity.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent technical experience.
- Prior experience in a technical support or system operations environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast?paced or high?stress environment.Ability to multitask and prioritize issues based on criticality and operational impact.Familiarity with Change Management and incident response processes.Working knowledge of Windows?based operating systems; experience with AIX, UNIX, or Linux environments is a plus.Understanding of distributed computer networks and system monitoring tools preferred.Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, operations personnel, and management.Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating shift schedule.Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem?solving skills.Ability to adhere to regulatory, compliance, and security protocols.Key Responsibilities
Monitor system health and availability for critical infrastructure and applications.Provide first?line diagnostics and troubleshooting; coordinate repairs or escalations as needed.Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding outages, incidents, and maintenance activities.Document all issues and resolutions thoroughly in the case management system.Support and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery systems.Contribute to process improvement initiatives and provide feedback to leadership.Follow all electronic and physical access policies and security guidelines.Additional Requirements
Must meet all company security and compliance requirements, including background checks and screenings.May be designated as essential personnel and required to remain on?site during critical events or severe weather.Rotating shift work required (8- or 12?hour shifts, including nights and weekends).Seniority level
